What is Pikermi?

Basically, the term Pikermi relates to the route of the original "marathon" in Greece, which was from the town of Marathon to Athens approximately 26.2 miles (the distance of a marathon). The town of Pikermi is about the mid-point between Marathon and Athens, therefore being a distance of about 13.1 miles.

Why Pure?

What's more pure than running? Mankind has been doing so since they evolved upright to hunt prey and to escape from enemies. We practice a form of running every day, it's called walking. No matter if you walk for necessity or run/walk for fitness it's a natural movement when done correctly can improve your health, prevent disease, reduce stress, lose weight, boost confidence and eliminate depression. Let's hear it for the endorphin rush that running produces!

Aid Stations

Half Marathoners will pass THREE water/Gatorade stations.

Relay participant will pass aid stations at turn around and finish line.

Race Medal

All finishers in both events will receive a cool race medal!

Awards

Awards will be presented to TOP THREE OVERALL Men and Women half marathon finishers and the TOP THREE finishing relay teams.

Schwag

We believe in quality wear.

So our shirt will be a fabric blend that breathes.  Not the kind that sticks and chafes your parts.
